TTGroup Communications Awarded Top Award for Sales in the Asia Pacific Region!

For the third year running, TTGroup Communications have received the coveted Mitel Top Sales award for the Asia Pacific region. TTGroup Communications welcomes Craig Newton, Craig has spent the last 6 years in the ICT industry with 5 of those years concentrating on Mitel and Aastra as a Computer Telephony Integrator and Pre-Sales Engineer. Craig has joined the Sales team and is working with customers to fulfil their ICT Communications requirements and translate them into Business ICT Solutions centred around Voice, Data, Mobility and Video. Corporate Customers not forgotten as WOW goes!

Ferrier Hodgson were appointed as Receivers and Managers of WOW Sight & Sound Superstores on the 27th February 2012.
Although the retailer went into receivership, WOW Corporate; a Telstra Enterprise Partner specialising in Mobile, Voice, VOIP Phone Systems and Data solutions were still trading profitably.
WOW Corporate managed some of Australia's highest-profile companies, including Thiess Pty Ltd & Hutchison Builders Pty Ltd therefore it was imperative a solution be found to continue this high standard of Mobility provisioning immediately.
Telstra and WOW Corporate Management had to find a like-minded company that had the support mechanisms and credit facilities with vendors already in place that would allow the ex-WOW Management Team to continue to support their key customer's business mobility requirements.
This was not an easy challenge as the Partner needed to be able to support a business with a very high demand in all areas of communications!
TTGroup Communications was selected as the Telstra Dealer to partner with due to a number of key attributes including GITC and ISO accreditation and the fact that they are the largest Telstra Dealer in Queensland and in the top 5 nationally in Unified Communications as a result, V V TECH was formed.
TTGroup Communications CEO, Bob Bishop, said that the new V V TECH venture presents an exciting opportunity to combine the significant ICT elements of Unified Communications, Mobility, and Data Solutions for the benefit of our valued Corporate Customers. TTGroup Communications has won the contract for supply, delivery and installation of IP telephony systems to Queensland Department of Education and Training schools

In March 2011, TTGroup Communications signed the contract for the supply, delivery and installation of Internet Protocol (IP) telephony systems into the Department of Education and Training (DET) schools.
DET has one of the largest computer networks in the southern hemisphere, with over 1,200 sites across Queensland.
DET schools were running separate systems for their computer and telephone networks. Using the latest technologies, it is now more cost-effective for DET to have a single IP communication network in place for both their computers and telephone systems.
In October 2010, DET released a public tender for the supply, delivery and installation of IP communications systems. TTGroup Communications was successful in securing this contract.
TTGroup is proud to be in partnership with Mitel who have proven quality, cost-effective solutions.
This contract has been enacted under GITC.

Bob Bishop and Graham Eske met with Mitel’s new global CEO, Richard McBee in Sydney at the Mitel Partner's Conference on Tuesday. Richard McBee was recently appointed Mitel's CEO in January and has over 20 years experience in telecommunications. At the conference, Richard spoke about Mitel’s new strategic direction that will continue to drive the company's global growth and business success.

TTGroup answers SOS from Cruise Liner

TTGroup Communications’ Haydn Francis went all out to help Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (RCCL) ship the ‘Rhapsody of the Seas’ last weekend.
RCCL have Mitel SX2000 systems installed and are serviced by Mitel’s head office in Canada.
Their ship; the ‘Rhapsody of the Seas’ had been experiencing problems whilst sailing in the Pacific Ocean around Australia. They had just left Sydney and were on their way to Brisbane. Mitel believed an on-site visit was necessary to perform diagnostics and address any issues. Mitel Canada requested their office in Australia to find an SX2000 trained engineer to make the visit to the Rhapsody.
Australia has only three specialised SX2000 engineers able to solve the Rhapsody’s problems. Unfortunately two of the engineers; Wayne Phillips and Jeremy Thomas were located in Canberra and Perth respectively and unable to rendezvous with the ship in Brisbane.
Brisbane based TTGroup Communications, dispatched Haydn Francis to board from Flinders Island on Saturday. Luckily enough, Haydn had been part of the Mitel Product Support team in the UK that completed the system fit out when ‘Rhapsody of the Seas’ was dry-docked in Finland.
Once on board, Haydn was able to run system health checks and diagnostics. In addition, he helped solve other issues that the ship was experiencing with the Ships Master Clock Server and the Mitel Crafted Application Wake Up Server. Haydn then provided technical Mitel training to the Chief Electrical Engineer and the First Electrical Engineer.
Job successfully completed, Haydn disembarked in Cairns to fly home while ‘Rhapsody of the Seas’ continued on its way.
