TTGroup Communications has won the contract for supply, delivery and installation of IP telephony systems to Queensland Department of Education and Training schools.

In March 2011, TTGroup Communications signed the contract for the supply, delivery and installation of Internet Protocol (IP) telephony systems into the Department of Education and Training (DET) schools. DET has one of the largest computer networks in the southern hemisphere, with over 1,200 sites across Queensland.

DET schools were running separate systems for their computer and telephone networks. Using the latest technologies, it is now more cost-effective for DET to have a single IP communication network in place for both their computers and telephone systems.

In October 2010, DET released a public tender for the supply, delivery and installation of IP communications systems. TTGroup Communications was successful in securing this contract.
